775. Enokitake Enokitake are a variety of Japanese mushroom. They’re in the bottom left of the picture here. I couldn’t decide what dish to make with them so I just decided to eat some raw with my slightly random lunch here. I was expecting them to taste like a mushroom (a pretty obvious assumption), but actually, they tasted much more like an apple. It was one of those times where you put something in your mouth expecting one thing, and then the taste is so different that it’s actually a little shocking. They were pretty delicious though. 775 down, 1021 to go
